A few months ago, I was sitting at my work computer (don’t tell my boss) anxiously waiting for EDC tickets to go on sale. When my transaction for three tickets went through, I was stoked! It’s always a good time when I hang out with my pledge daddy Qui and best friend Tina. Month after month, we waited for EDC weekend to come, and not going to lie, it felt like forever. Thanks to Oai’s awesome planning, everything in Vegas was set for us to “rage hard” and “get ratchet”.
Half of the group was on the same flight as us, so we all met up at the bar to watch the end of the NBA Finals game. (Boo for the Heat winning though.)
You know… The usual. 🙂
Our flight actually got delayed for a bit, which was a thumbs down in our book because that meant we were going to be late to Hakkasan.
Good thing Tina and I are low maintenance when it comes to getting ready! Like the cute shoes she picked up last minute for Vegas?
Elevator picture 1. (There are a lot of these coming…) Everyone’s excited for Vegas!
After lookin’ back at pictures, we were all wondering why Tina was holding one shoe…
The spiffy lookin’ boys. 🙂
Ronald and Qui.
I had to get in the picture!
The rest of the night was kind of a blur – but good music, lots of stairs (Hakka-stairs), a lost girl who wore two different shoes, finding everyone towards the end of the night, and Ronald losing his phone (but being a hella good sport about it!).

The next morning, we all got ready to go to EBC to see Diplo! Can you see how excited we were to go to the pool?
My BFFer! <3

Elevator pictures 3. Heading down to eat and then EDC!

Eating dinner. Good laughs about muscles in pictures… 🙂
On the way to EDC!
The Vegas Crew @ EDC Day 1.
Old friends and new friends.
Party until the morning.
Elevator pictures 4. Yes, a random daddy and daughter came in, and yes, we still took a picture.
After just a few hours of sleep after EDC, we got up and went to Wet Republic for Calvin Harris. So freaking awesome!
Love love love this girl… and boy. 🙂
After the pool party, my Vegas boyfriend Eric dropped by to say hello while we were getting ready for EDC Day 2. I’m pretty sad we didn’t get to meet up during EDC.
Waiting in line for EDC was the worst. The first two days, the lines were about an hour long! It didn’t help that some of the people in line were so loud and obnoxious either.

So glad I bumped into my sister’s little bro! We were texting about meeting up, but with thousands and thousands of people and no reception at EDC, it would’ve been like finding a needle in a haystack. But we did walk by each other during one of the sets, so woohoo!
Elevator pictures 5.
While we were walking to get lunch, we bumped into Eric’s group. Love my Taiwanese friend and Mady! 🙂
We were originally going to eat lunch at Burgr, but because the wait was too long, we ended up at Holstein’s Burgers.
Our usual share-the-milkshake picture in Vegas. 🙂
My special friend Jacob…
The group that went to lunch. Pretty sure our server was judging the guys in our group because they were so indecisive and slow!
Elevator pictures 6. After lunch, we picked up some ice cream and headed back to get ready for EDC!
All of the boys actually got this tank to wear together… but no one ended up matching on the same day. (Good call.)
All the boys.
Definitely should’ve worn my Converses all three days cause they were so comfy compared to my sparkly Toms!
Pdaddy Qui and BFFer Tina! <3
Elevator pictures 7. (Look at those two boys with the matching tanks… not judging…)
Ready for EDC Day 3!
Candid photo of us laughing. 😀 I’m pretty sure we were just mocking the obnoxious people that were sitting in front of us…
We bumped into Ray! So freaking awesome cause it’s almost impossible to meet up with people…
Finally got to meet Alex! 🙂
Loved the decor!
Lights and fireworks the whole weekend.
Feelin’ young when you can party until the sun comes up.

After EDC, we headed back to the hotel to rest. Originally, we were just going to shower and head out to eat breakfast, but we ended up sleeping until half an hour before we had to check out. I’ve never seen so many people jump out of bed and pack/clean that fast. So crazy!
We started the weekend with the “300% ratchet” mindset… but at the end of the trip, I’m pretty sure we were about 25% ratchet. We were tired!
Saw this beauty while walking around before lunch!
Because a handful of us had night flights, we ended up chillin’ at the hotel’s bar. And because it was Ronald’s birthday the next day, we ended up drinking to celebrate. (Any reason to have a beer or a shot of Henney, right?)
Cheers to a great weekend!
Although I really wanted to go to EDC when it was still in Los Angeles, I’m glad I got to go with a bunch of awesome (new and old) friends to one of my favorite cities, Las Vegas, for this experience. 🙂
Summary of our trip: Sleep for 4 hours/day, pool parties, EDC, one meal a day, D&D, and awesome friends.
Going back to the bay was quite dismal. Not only were flights being delayed, our flight got delayed 4-5 hours! That meant we got back to San Jose around 3am… which also meant that I only got three hours of sleep before going to work. Obviously, work was not pleasant at all cause I was so exhausted. At least I was able to get dinner at Cha Cha Sushi with part of the Vegas crew yesterday!
Until our next adventure… #TeamNoSleep
