After a much needed nap back at our Airbnb, we got ready to go to our second Yelp Spring Break event: the Superstitious Soiree at the San Diego Air and Space Museum. We got all dressed up because the event had an Alfred Hitchcock theme. The whole venue was decorated with a bunch of “unlucky” superstitious decor like open umbrellas, (fake) broken glass, black cats, and other things. The people in care of the decor really went all out!
The Lahtt Sauce team came from Los Angeles just for this event. Such a cute little family business. 🙂 It was pretty funny because Steph and Kat visited their booth first. Then 20 minutes later, when Tina and I finally hit up the booth, the son was like, “Oh! You’re back again!” Ha!
When we were leaving the event, we realized we could’ve walked around the actual museum. Such a bummer we didn’t have time for that. But at least we ate enough food to almost put us in a food coma.
Since the night was still young, we decided to check out a little bit of downtown. We headed over to the Marriott so we could go to their rooftop bar called ALTITUDE Sky Lounge. The venue is roomy with tons of sofas, lounge area, dance floor, and standing room to check out the view.
The nightlife in San Diego is so crazy fun! The crowd is mixed, and every bar is cracking. The streets are lit up with different colors, and they never seem to end. Tina and I were talking about how if we came to UCSD for school, we probably wouldn’t have moved back to the bay area.
Since we had a lot of things planned for the next day (and wanted to bar hop the next night), we left downtown after walking around a bit. Until next time!
